A new scientific report from the Obama administration reinforces that climate change is a serious threat to human health. Particularly relevant for Chicago, was its prediction that air quality might get worse. Last year, Chicago ranked, as sixth in the country for allergies and asthma. 

The national report is bolstered by the City of Chicago’s health department. Its most recent health plan specifically called out climate change as a concern.
