The photos in today’s news at a glance gallery come from Libya, Yemen, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Romania, Ireland, Columbia, France, Afghanistan, Ukraine, India and the U.S. To me the most striking image is of a rabbi burying Jews killed in the Holocaust and found in a mass grave in Romania in 2010. The bright red soil stands out in the bleak photo like a re-opened wound.
