In partnership with the North Shore Chavurah of Rabbis, Spertus is proud to again co-sponsor Kallah, a series of free lectures and courses that take place on Chicago’s North Shore.

At this session, Dr. Todd Hasak-Lowy speaks about Arab-Israelis and Hebrew culture. Hebrew literature has, for obvious reasons, been an overwhelmingly Jewish undertaking. But non-Jewish Israelis have made important contributions. Learn about Anton Shammas and Sayed Kashua, two Arab-Israeli writers who shed light on Arabs in Israel and Hebrew culture as a whole.

Recorded Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Temple Jeremiah.
