In partnership with the North Shore Chavurah of Rabbis, Spertus is proud to again co-sponsor Kallah, a series of free lectures and courses that take place on Chicago’s North Shore.

At this session, Dr. Elie Rekhess presents “Arabs in a Jewish State: Between Integration & Alienation.” The 1948 war created a unique situation: a Palestinian-Arab minority amidst the Jewish state of Israel. Explore minority-majority relations and the impact these relations have on Israel’s nature as a Jewish and democratic state.

Recorded Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Temple Jeremiah.
