CHICAGO (AP) — A suspect who was out on bond in a 2014 slaying is one of two suburban Chicago men charged in a 17-year-old’s death earlier this year.

Prosecutors say 21-year-olds Kenyatta Alexander and Tramian Barnes are charged with murder, robbery and vehicular hijacking in the April 4 killing of Anthony Heatherly.

Alexander of Bellwood also is charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and trying to escape from police. Video and witnesses connected the suspects to the slaying.

Both men were ordered held without bail Wednesday. It wasn’t immediately known if either man has legal representation.

Court records show Barnes of Oak Park is awaiting trial on murder charges in the 2014 killing of 19-year-old Alex Anderson.

The Chicago Tribune reports Barnes was released on $100,000 bond in September 2015.
