BP is about to complete a permanent seal of its leaky well in the Gulf of Mexico. The latest estimates suggest the recent oil spill in the Gulf may be the largest in history. President Obama demanded accountability and demanded BP create a 20 billion dollar compensation fund.

But when oil spills occur in developing countries, oil companies aren’t always held accountable. We talk to Rebecca Bratspies about how oil spills are handled in the developing world.
