At least one Chicago restaurant is declaring itself a “sanctuary” to immigrants, Muslims and LGTBQ people.

Honey Butter Fried Chicken in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood is among dozens of restaurants across the nation to join the “Sanctuary Restaurant” movement. Chef and co-owner Joshua Kulp said the move is mostly symbolic - the restaurant will still follow the law but wishes simply to state that it will welcome all kinds of people.
