Through the experiences of the protagonist, Otomo, this film explores the difficulties of being an immigrant in Germany, especially one who is poor and African. Otomo faces challenges with the police and finds a friend and financial assistance in a German woman. Will his troubles end?
Otomo is part of the Center for Black Diaspora’s Winter Quarter film series “Cinema: Transnational Subjects, African & Black Diaspora Immigrant Experiences”. The films cover a wide scope of discussion on the Diaspora in little known places like Iran, as well as the migration to places in Europe and the Americas.
