What could be a lurid tale becomes a masterpiece of erotica in the eye of filmamaker Luis Bunuel, confirming Deneuve’s reputation as a fearless actress. Deneuve, dressed by Saint-Laurent, also exmplifies the eternal elegance we have come to associate with French women.
