Sarah Sze creates sculptural installations in which thousands of small, everyday objects are assembled into large, architectural structures that deftly balance order and chaos. The recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship in 2003, she has exhibited her work around the world. Her installation Proportioned to the Groove (2005) was on view at the MCA when this lecture happened.

The Richard and Mary L. Gray Lectures are made possible through a generous gift to the Chicago Contemporary Campaign.

Recorded Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Museum of Contemporary Art.
