Henrique Meirelles, Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil, has presided over eight years of economic stability, record reserves, and low inflation. He is Brazil’s longest-serving central bank governor (a cabinet level position). He was selected as Central Bank Governor of the Year in 2007 by Euromoney and Financier of the Year in 2008 by the Latin Trade Bravo.
