Longtime WBEZ.org users probably remember that we used to feature a different photo from our Flickr pool on our home page every day. New site designs made it diffcult to maintain that feature and we’ve struggled to find new ways to utilize the great photos regularly submitted by more than 2,300 local photographers. Recently we started using Flickr pool photos for our Facebook cover photo, updating weekly.

Today we’re launching a photo of the day blog to highlight users’ photo submissions. Here’s the first photo of the day:

Interestingly, on Flickr it says this photo was take in the future: September 17, 2012!
