Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a non-commercial plane to catch fire at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield.

WUIS Radio says no major injuries were reported after the incident Thursday morning. The plane caught fire after a hard landing.

Sangamon County Sheriff Neil Williamson says six people were on the plane, and two passengers suffered neck and back injuries.

The Air National Guard and officials with the Springfield Airport Authority are looking into the accident.
