Enrique Dussel is internationally renowned for his work on political philosophy and ethics as well as for being one of the founders of Liberation Philosophy in an attempt to develop a type of philosophy engaged with the struggle of marginal subjects. Having published more than 50 books and 400 articles ranging from philosophy and politics to history and religion, he is one of the most respected philosophers of the 20th century. A native of Argentina, Dussel has lived in exile in Mexico for over thirty years, where he is professor of philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the Metropolitan Autonomous University.
