Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was in a pretty good groove; that was until he broke his thumb. The offense felt balanced, the team was riding a five-game winning streak and the table seemed set for backup quarterback Caleb Hanie. However, the results were mixed. The first quarter looked bleak but things got better; the defense kept things tight but it was not enough. The team fell to the Oakland Raiders, who won 25-20. The loss had folks wondering about the team’s potential wild-card spot and what the rest of the season looked like for the Bears.
