Odessa-born poet and activist Ilya Kamisky co-founded Poets for Peace and edits Words Without Borders, an online magazine for international writing in translation. The San Diego State University professor and writer presented selections of his work in English and Russian. 

360 Degrees: Art beyond Borders brings together Chicago’s leading cultural institutions — the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Poetry Foundation and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs — for a yearlong celebration of cultural, social and political life around the world.

This event is presented with the Poetry Foundation.
