On November 20th, Chalmers Johnson passed away. To many, he’s considered one of the great political, military and strategic thinkers of the last century.

He co-authored the famed “Blowback” trilogy of books about American militarism in the post-Cold War era, which warned the U.S. could collapse like the Soviet Union.

Steve Clemons is a senior fellow and director of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation. He writes the “The Washington Note” blog.

Jerome talks to Clemons about the life, work and philosophy of his colleague and mentor Chalmers Johnson.
