Founded in1893 to serve the Polish immigrant community, St. John Cantius Church is one of the most recognized architectural landmarks in Chicago. Since the late 1980s, the church has undergone extensive interior and architectural restoration. Join us as Brother Joshua Caswell, SJC, presents the story of St. John Cantius’ renaissance, highlighting the interior art, stained glass, and wood carving restoration and discusses the challenges faced in rejuvenating not only this edifice, but its impact on the vibrant community surrounding this Chicago landmark.
