Cambodians gather for the Taing Tok (table display), a festival to show off the prosperity of the “Kingdom,” honoring the earth mother and water father by unifying the natural and social worlds.  In Africa, family and community are acknowledged by giving thanks to the creator and ancestors for another harvest.  Celebrations from both West and East Africa reveal the foundations of the African American Kwanzaa (first fruits) celebration. Listen in to learn how these festivals create, celebrate, and renew community by drawing upon the past to move into the future.
