Aaron Fagan was born in Rochester, New York, in 1973, grew up in the village of Victor in upstate New York, and was educated at Hampshire College and Syracuse University, where he specialized in poetry. In 1998 he went to Chicago, working as an Assistant Editor for POETRY and a Reference Assistant for The Newberry Library. Garage, his first book of poems, was published in 2007 by Salt; an independent publisher based in Cambridge, England.  Today Fagan works for Scientific American magazine and lives in the Bronx.

Series A is dedicated to showcasing experimental writing in the US and the Midwest through readings, discussion and performance. Organized by Indiana University Northwest Faculty William Allegrezza, this series brings exciting authors to the Hyde Park Art Center to share their work.
