Sons of the Never Wrong mix folk and whimsy, as they have for the past 20 years. The band is out with a pair of albums, including a self-described “churchy” release, Church of the Never Wrong, and this weekend they celebrate two decades of down-home folk with a pair of shows. They perform Sunday (4 p.m. and 7 p.m.) at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.*
Band members Sue Demel, Deborah Lader and Bruce Roper join Eight Forty-Eight Tuesday to talk about their time together and perform songs from throughout their career.
*Headlining the bill Sunday is Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues, who join Eight Forty-Eight Friday as our musical guests.
