About 150 people gathered Wednesday night in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood near a porch where a drive-by shooting injured a 6-year-old girl named Tacarra Morgan on Tuesday.

Police officers urged folks to sign up for the local community-police beat meetings.

And a mother named Aleta Clark, 26, said the neighborhood’s adults have to do more than that.

“Knock on doors,” Clark said. “Do stuff with these kids. Stop letting people hang out on your porch if you know they probably got some mess going on, putting these kids lives in danger.”

The police are asking anyone with information about Tacarra Morgan’s shooting to come forward.
