As the Illinois General Assembly prepares to resume its fall veto session, a number of issues remain outstanding including public employee pensions for police and firefighters.
But that’s not the only controversial topic legislators will deal with when they return next week.
They also face bills to expand gambling and extend civil unions to same-sex couples.
Illinois Public Radio’s Sean Crawford has been keeping an eye on all of this from the front line at the state capitol. He joined Eight Forty-Eight for an update.
