Steve Harvey is going to star in a new daily television show and it’s going to air from Chicago.

The comedian and New York Times bestselling author currently hosts a daytime radio show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, where he responds to listeners’ calls and emails about their relationship woes. In a news release Monday, Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn said Harvey’s new hour-long show will cover a variety of topics, from parenting to relationships to navigating today’s workplace.

State officials say the show’s production will bring a needed revenue boost to Illinois. According to the managing director of the Illinois Film Office, Betsy Steinberg, Steve Harvey will create about 100 jobs. She said the openings for makeup artists, producers, photographers and other jobs will mostly be filled by Illinois residents. Productions that film in Illinois or hire workers from the state recieve a tax credit.

The show is also expected to bring over 35,000 audience members and visitors to the city each year. Steinberg said the additional tourists could boost revenue by staying in local hotels, eating at local restaurant and shopping on the Magnificent Mile.

Harvey is one of four comedians featured in the Spike Lee movie The Original Kings of Comedy and starred in the TV sitcom The Steve Harvey Show.
