Our City Room has been actively trying to find out if the new Governor Pat Quinn is going to deliver his “State of the State” address next week, as scheduled. We’ve called a number of people who just tell us they don’t know. This blogger thinks he will wait until he has a budget to tout, which is mid-March. But in the meantime, why not have a special election and appoint “Stimulus”? Seriously, Stimmy (for short) has come through with millions for our state and even forced Mayor Daley to come clean with his plans. And you know, Stimmy won’t do any pay to play. Wait, Stimmy probably will but you can’t put a wire on Stimmy? Food for thought and Illinois is hungry! WHAT IS THE 311? Yep, the same Amy Krouse Rosenthal that has been a contributor to WBEZ with her show Writers Block Party. No big deal, America’s sweetheart likes our contributor. I DARE YOU TO POKE SUPPELSA! So Suppelsa was given the title friendliest newscaster in Chicago because he has 5,000 Facebook friends. Remember when Facebook was just for college kids? Well you know you jumped the shark when the Trib does a story about how many friends local newscasters have.
