Studio 312 welcomes George Wendt

WBEZ/Jason Marck
This week on Studio 312 I'm excited to welcome one of my comedy heroes, George Wendt. When Cheers was on television I was a student at Columbia College here in the city, but I was living at home in the suburbs with my parents, my two sisters and maybe my younger brother Mike (my brother Mike was unreachable at the writing of this blog). I'd also just started taking improv classes at The Players Workshop of The Second City. My goal in life was to be George Wendt, start at Second City and wind up a lovable character on a classic TV show. I've interviewed a lot of people down in Studio 312 over the years, and some can be self important. A few, however, are down to earth and as nice as the neighborhood they came from. George Wendt is one of the nice ones. To hear the interview sign up for the Studio 312 podcast. I promise I did a better job than Billy Dec does here: Thanks for listening and remember as always, walk don't run.
