Our panel of health care experts will examine the features of The Affordable Care Act, the progress of the provisions already in effect, what opponents dislike, what programs have yet to be enacted, alternative approaches to our system, and what the presidential election outcome could mean for the future of health care in this country. Our speakers are: Dr. Quentin Young, chair of the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group and national coordinator of Physicians for a National Health Program; Michael Gelder, senior health care policy advisor to Governor Pat Quinn; Donna Thompson, Access Community Health Network; and Laura Minzer, executive director of the Healthcare Council, Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
