In the 21st edition of the Chicago Humanities Festival, we “come of age” to explore The Body. Over 100 programs at 18 venues in and around downtown Chicago present offshoots and interpretations of the theme.

Presenters include scientists and doctors, writers and poets, musicians and dancers, scholars and athletic legends on topics of birth and death, health and disease, sex and gender, and the marvel of the five senses.

Playwright Sam Shepard, author E.O. Wilson, basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Olympic marathon champion Frank Shorter, and many more join us for The Body.
