Grab your air guitar and get ready for some shredding; the Axe Man cometh this week on Radio M! The show  puts the spotlight on the electric guitar-  an instrument that’s made it mark all over the world; from Mauritania and Niger to Egypt and South Korea.

We’ll hear from Omar Korshid, Bombino, Joni Haastrup, Gabor Szabo and more.  Brit guitarist Ricky Tomlinson will also be featured as his 2006 release Voice of the Seven Woods is this month’s featured album. The record is a mostly instrumental excursion that weaves Middle Eastern traditions with rock and psych.
