Musicians Damon Locks and Wayne Montana have been collaborating for more than twenty years now. Their first band, Trenchmouth, leaned heavily toward the post-punk camp. And for more than a decade, their band The Eternals has been an evolving meld of everything from punk to dub to jazz to film! You can hear all of that and more in the cinematic soundscapes that make up each of the band’s releases.

Damon and Wayne recently joined Eight Forty-Eight’s Alison Cuddy in the Jim and Kay Mabie Performance Studio to discuss the many sides of the Eternals’ music, and to perform songs from their brand new release, Approaching the Energy Field. The Eternals perform a record release show on Friday, February 11 at Schubas in Chicago. Approaching the Energy Field is out on Tuesday, February 14.

Songs performed:
“War’s Blazing Disciples”

“The Energy Field”
“The Forbidden Zone”
