Media outlets and personnel play a key role in helping organizations reach new audiences and achieve their missions.  Join Community Media Worshop alongside some of the foremost leaders in Chicago media, as they share insider information about the art and science behind media relations.

Panelists include: Jon Anderson, Freelance Reporter and Former Columnist for the Chicago Tribune; Charile Meyerson, Senior Producer for the Chicago Tribune Internet Edition, chicagotribune.com; Angela Caputo, Education Reporter for the Daily Southtown; Dan Weissmann, Host-Producer at Vocalo.org (89.5 FM); and Teresa Puente, Editorial Board of the Chicago Sun-Times, and Faculty at Columbia College Chicago.

Moderated by Thom Clark, Founder and President of Chicago’s most valuable nonprofit media resource, Community Media Workshop, this panel of media personalities will discuss the art and science behind building effective media relationships.  Presented as part of “The Ninth Annual Axelson Center Symposium for Nonprofit Professionals and Volunteers”, hosted by The Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management.  The mission of North Park University’s Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management is to enhance performance and effectiveness of organizations and individuals in the nonprofit sector through education, service, and resources, to help build a vibrant community in Chicago and beyond.
