Eight Forty-Eight

The role politics plays in inclement weather

By most accounts Chicago is in for a doozy of a snowstorm starting sometime later Tuesday. Residents have a pretty good idea what a blizzard will do to the streets, sidewalks and commute times. Schmidt is a historian who writes the This Date In Chicago History blog for Chicago Now. Before that he taught at Chicago Public Schools for more than 30 years.
