The spirit of indie rock descended on Chicago last weekend during the Pitchfork Music Festival. More than a few of the artists were travelling on the cheap, acting as their own tour managers and, in at least one case, sleeping across the street in an RV across from the festival grounds. Tonight, more indie rock love from around the globe. Tony welcomes guest co-host Robert Loerzel with some of his favorite indie rock from places like Spain and Iceland.
Loerzel is a Chicago musician, journalist, painter and author. His latest book, Alchemy of Bones
, is about a 19th century Chicago murder that resulted in one of the first media fuled celebrity trials in the U.S. He plays DJ with Tony this week.
