On Monday morning, Chicago’s Pritzker Pavillion will be stuffed to the gills with people celebrating the inauguration of Rahm Emanuel. Among the revelers will be some of Chicago’s so-called “socialites”. The term conjures up fashionably dressed women flitting from one party to another fitting to the next cocktail. But most high society women do more. They raise funds for Chicago cultural institutions and awareness of various causes. One name and face on the scene is Shelley MacArthur.

MacArthur is a woman of many talents. She’s a performer and singer and she even tried out for the Real Housewives of Chicago. She joined Eight Forty-Eight as The Weekly Guide.
