Exploration of the energy frontier today combines questions about the most fundamental particles and questions about the entire universe. It brings together physicists in the areas of string theory, particle physics, and astrophysics in an effort to study what the universe is made of and how it is evolving.  Our three cosmic tenors are scientists whose songs speak to us of how the creation of theoretical models and the use of technology like colliders and space probes will help to understand the fundamental nature of energy. Their concert will be a harmonious presentation of ideas from their different scientific perspectives.

This program is presented in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Special Events as part of Chicago Science Expedition “Two Weeks Worth of “Wow”!

Recorded Sunday, September 24, 2006 at The Field Museum.
