On Thursday’s Afternoon Shift, The Break Room presents alt-rockers Smashing Pumpkins and their song “Siva” off their first album Gish. The guitar-heavy band, fronted by Billy Corrigan, is back with a new electronica-infused album after breaking up in 2000. They’ll be playing tonight at the Metro in Chicago, along with The Figgs, Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents, members of Buffalo Tom, and The Hot Stove All-Stars.
