Metra Suicides- When a Lake Forest High School student was struck and killed by a Metra train last weekend, it was the third student from the north-suburban school to be killed by a Metra train since January.  The first death was ruled a suicide, and the same conclusion is suspected for the others. We examine the impact of teen suicides on a close-knit community like Lake Forest’s with Ginny Neuckranz, who co-founded Erika’s Lighthouse with the support of her North Shore community after her daughter’s suicide. Also joining the conversation, Dr. Terrence Koller, Executive Director/Legislative Liaison, Illinois Psychological Association.

The Eddie Olczyk Award was established to support young hockey players and teams in Illinois who may not have the means to play at a competitive level. But all youth sports are expensive these days.
