Since legendary Chicago band Cap’n Jazz reunited earlier this year, Tim Kinsella has done only two interviews. Today Eight Forty-Eight airs one of them, a conversation between music critic Althea Legaspi, Kinsella and guitarist Victor Villareal. The feature-length interview aired on Eight Forty-Eight. What you won’t hear in that interview, however, is Kinsella commenting on performing music written in his teens as a thirty-something. Among other things, he surprises band-mate Victor Villareal by revealing that “90% of the lyrics on that record were written in one night the first time I took mushrooms and sat by a campfire.”

Wow- who knew?
