On Tuesday’s Afternoon Shift, The Break Room features Joss Stone with the song “(1-2-3-4-5-6-7) Count These Days,” a cover of a song originally sung by classic rock-and-roller Gene Pitney, off of her new album The Soul Sessions Vol. 2. An English soul singer, Joss Stone rose to prominence in late 2003 with her album The Soul Sessions, which was shortlisted for the coveted Mercury Music Prize. So far in her career, Joss Stone has sold 11 million albums and is established as one of the best soul singers of her time.
