In December, 250 laid off workers on Goose Island in Chicago sat down in their factory to demand the wages owed to them by their former employer.
They demanded that Bank of America, which held the line of credit for the Republic Windows and Doors company, lend a small amount of the $25 billion they had received in bail out money to the company to cover payroll for all legally owed severance and vacation under the Warren Act.  Their fight became a national symbol of the plight of working people in the economic crisis.

This program includes stories from UE workers and a Q&A moderated by Fran Tobin of Jobs with Justice.  For more information about this campaign, and current updates as it continues, you can visit the UE website.
