The Reader published a great cover story last week about what was really at stake in the Ike Carothers saga.‚  Only thing was, I didn’t really understand it. Jesse Menendez interviewed the Reader’s Ben Joravsky, and having listened to the interview, I think I get it.* But man was this confusing. And, Ben says, that’s the point: SNIPPET_If Nobody Understands it they can do whatever_JesseM w Ben Joravsky of Chgo Reader * IF I’ve got this right, Carothers pleaded guilty to taking a bribe to arrange a zoning change for a local developer, but it seems like‚  he may also have helped that developer sell a piece of land for $5.3 million in taxpayer money.
