Ina Pinkney contracted polio in 1944 as she approached her second birthday. Now more than sixty years later, she asked her friend, Edith Taber, to join her in the MobileBooth to talk about how her life has been shaped by the disease. Edith began by asking Ina what her many childhood surgeries and hospitalizations were like.

They were recorded in the StoryCorps MobileBooth when it visited Chicago in 2005.
