Weekly Guide: ‘Alien Queen’ team crafts intergalactic weekend
By Produced by Eight Forty-EightWeekly Guide: ‘Alien Queen’ team crafts intergalactic weekend
By Produced by Eight Forty-EightThe mash-up has become as American as apple pie, providing great mixes – like Jay-Z and the Beatles—and some questionable ones-–hello Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry? But how about the rock band Queen and the sci-fi horror flick Alien? That cultural pairing may be unfamiliar to some–-but not for much longer —thanks to Scott Bradley, one-half of the mad genius behind the rock concert slash parody slash musical known as Alien Queen: The Concert. The show takes place this Saturday night at 9pm at the Metro in Chicago. Ryan Lanning is its star – he plays Ridley in Alien Queen. But before they broke any legs, Eight Forty-Eight invited them to be the Weekly Guides.
