When Oprah ended her talk show here in Chicago – another recognizable face stepped up. Rosie O’Donnell now does her daily talk show in Oprah’s studio in the West Loop—and is also living in the city. And so is some of her crew! Katreese Barnes left a pretty good gig at Saturday Night Live to become musical director of The Rosie Show. While at SNL she battled breast cancer twice. She also won two Emmys. And listeners may recognize the musical chops that earned her one – take a listen! She made audiences laugh until they cried on SNL and on Thursday, she showed Chicagoans how to have a good time as Eight Forty-Eight’s Weekly Guide.
