A jury has been selected to hear the federal trial of Tahawwur Rana, a Chicago businessman who has been charged with plotting a terrorist attack in Denmark and aiding the 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai, India. Opening statements are scheduled to begin on Monday.

The trial will be closely watched by U.S., Indian and Pakistani officials.  That’s because it’s expected the trial may reveal that the Pakistani intelligence service, the ISI, played a role in the Mumbai attack.

WBEZ’s Tony Arnold and local journalist Mayank Chhaya, who covers South Asian affairs, are following the trial and give us an update.
