Turnout for Tuesday’s runoff election was low. But there were some exciting stories among the outcomes. Four incumbent aldermen appear to have lost. Those seats represent just a portion the turnover in the council. That means a lot of fresh faces at City Hall, assuming the election results hold. And let’s not forget that Chicago will have a new mayor as well.

Eight Forty-Eight spoke to two journalists who have had their eye on the change taking place at city council and city hall. Sam Hudzik is WBEZ’s political reporter. Kyra Kyles is a columnist for the Chicago Tribune’s Red Eye edition.
