WordPlay, Young Chicago Authors’ ten year old open mic and workshop series, wraps up the Fall season with Death From Below.  Aggressive and diminuitive spoken word duo “Death From Below” (Dan Sully and Tim Stafford) give a lesson in teamwork. Utilizing an “exquisite corpse” technique for creative writing, Tim and Dan cook up a recipe for working in pairs that is simultaenously profound and portable - and one needn’t be so short to enact it!  This lesson highlights the benefits of successful groupwork: getting along with others, empathy, and results that can only be produced when collaborating.

WordPlay is an open space for teen writers, rhymers, and performers to showcase their work to peers and the public.  Each session begins with an hour-long writing workshop, led by a working writer who specializes in topic, genre, or form.

Recorded Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Young Chicago Authors.
