Rainforests are recognized and valued for their astounding biodiversity. They play an important role in reducing carbon in the atmosphere. But while most people like trees, it’s hard to feel a connection with the vibrant world of rainforests. Dr. Nalini Nadkarni thinks making that connection is crucial for the rainforest’s survival. And in this week’s Global Notes, Jerome and Radio M host Tony Sarabia talk with the Chicago choir group Golosa. They sing pre-Soviet Russian folk music, mostly Siberia-based.
