On Thursday, the UN Security Council authorized the use of force in Libya. In a surprise response, Qaddafi declared a cease-fire. Anthony Cordesman from the Center for Strategic and International Studies will outline military options in Libya. And, this Saturday, Egyptians will hold a referendum on their constitution that will likely shape the country’s political future. We’ll talk with University of Notre Dame professor Emad Shahin about what we can expect. Also, in southern Sudan, since a statehood referendum, scores of villagers have died in recent fighting despite a heavy UN presence with a mandate to protect citizens.
