Its development of nuclear weapons, dangerous tribal areas, shelter of Afghan Taliban, and catastrophic damage from recent floods have made the nation a focus of international attention.  We’ll talk with Anatol Lieven, a professor in the department of war studies at King’s College London and author of Pakistan: A Hard Country. He disputes the West’s portrayal of Pakistan as a near-failed state.
